Visit to the Coast...Tillamook Oregon

We took the girls for a day-trip to the coast. We had SO much fun! We visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory and had fresh cheese and ice cream cones. Then onto Cape Mears to see the huge 300 year old Octopus Tree and the breathtaking view high above the ocean where the trees grew sideways from the ocean winds. The girls played in the dirst and even found the cutest baby fern.

Then off to play in the sand. Nevermind the fact that it was only 62 degrees and the ocean water 50! Nothing could have stopped our girls from enjoying all the coast has to offer a 5 and 3 year old! Tide pools that were slightly warmer than the ocean, sea shells smooth ocean rocks, sea gulls to chase and of course the sand. They had sand EVERYWHERE:)

We ended the day at a petting farm where we got to pet goats, chickens and sheep and look at llamas and huge fury cows:) Sorry there are no pics....we forgot the camera in the car and both Mommy and Daddy were too worn out by this point to go back for it! We called the day a success when both girls slept the entire 90 minute drive home. Now we can say we enjoyed the Summer completely and are ready for the Fall:)
